Bill Arienti
Bill is a career fire fighter from Quincy, MA., a career he calls ''the most wonderful and fulfilling job I could imagine.'' Looking for a truly lasting gift to give his son Mark, Bill wrote the series Tales From Faxon with the same desire to do good work that inspires him as a firefighter. Bill takes on the topics of courage, cooperation, friendship, responsibility, racism, bullying, death and dying and peer pressure. He does this with warmth and understanding and with the hope that his stories will in some way help children through difficult experiences they may encounter Bill proves that being big and strong isn't what makes a person a fire fighter; it's heart. |
Sybil Ferreor
When Sybil was a child, she would answer the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" with the response "an artist". Life happened, and adulthood arrived complete with a degree in math and a career in engineering. Sybil worked in engineering, but soon realized that life is too short not to do what makes you happy. With art in her soul Sybil took the courageous step out of the secure business world into the world of personal fulfillment, and never looked back. She began her new life as a graphic artist, and galleries and coffee shop shows soon followed. On reading the first few verses of Scooter the Rabbit, Sybil jumped at the chance to bring Bill's beautiful stories to life. |
